Our Mission… to glorify Christ by helping the members of Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church fulfill their stewardship responsibilities in planning the distribution of their estates and special gifts.

Our Vision…. that income from the Foundations assets will one day be an important part of the financial support needed for growing church programs.

Our Goal… by the year 2010 all members of the church over the age of 50 will have named the church or the Foundation in their wills, living trusts, or insurance policies.

Our Values… to always put the interests of the church or its members before those of the Foundation; to honor the wishes of our donors in the use of their funds; to wisely invest funds received for growth, without taking undue risk.

Our Story… WCPC Foundation was formed in 1995 to provide a vehicle for our church’s members and friends to remember the church in their estates or with special gifts. Since then assets have grown to over $400,000 aided by investment results which have exceeded norms throughout the ten year period.

The Foundation has been governed by a board of directors. The board’s policy has been to use six percent of its assets each year to support church programs. Historically this has taken the form of support of seminary students or helping with building or equipment needs of our local church.

Additionally, the Foundation has provided opportunities for education to the congregation in the areas of financial and estate planning by conducting Life Learning Seminars, through informational mailings, and by hosting small dinners in the homes of individual directors. Also, its directors stand ready to assist with special gifts such as charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, gifts of appreciated property or securities, etc.
